چکیده

Among of the actual challenges for sustainable aquaculture development are to lower trophic level cultured species, and increase use by-products from primary sector. The golden mullet (Liza aurata) is a marine low consumer present in Mediterranean Canary Islands, where there was significant consumption past. On other hand, Aloe vera plant, which production Islands highly world representative, contains more than 70 biologically active components have aroused interest its aquaculture, although enormous quantity generated has no at all, never been tested purposes. objective this study run first controlled feeding test with Liza aurata as target species promote cultivation, evaluate pure Canarian against different levels by-product, determine effects growth, health, quality parameters. Therefore, 5 diets were formulated contain 0% aloe inclusion (diet control), 2% form P2), 2, 4 6% by-product (diets BP2, BP4 BP6). At 91 days feeding, proximal fatty acid composition liver, muscle whole body, serum lysozyme, antibacterial activity, malonaldheyde content liver measured. According obtained results, up could be included without any rejections growth or parameters, improved results compared control fish observed. Further studies on way sustainability bioeconomic impact gain knowledge their direct industrial applications.

Toxicity of dispersant application: Biomarkers responses in gills of juvenile golden grey mullet (Liza aurata).

Dispersant use in nearshore areas is likely to increase the exposure of aquatic organisms to petroleum. To measure the toxicity of this controversial response technique, golden grey mullets (Liza aurata) were exposed to mechanically dispersed oil, chemically dispersed oil, dispersant alone in seawater, water-soluble fraction of oil and to seawater as a control treatment. Several biomarkers were...

Effect of dispersed crude oil exposure upon the aerobic metabolic scope in juvenile golden grey mullet (Liza aurata).

This study evaluated the toxicity of dispersant application which is, in nearshore area, a controversial response technique to oil spill. Through an experimental approach with juveniles of Liza aurata, the toxicity of five exposure conditions was evaluated: (i) a chemically dispersed oil simulating dispersant application; (ii) a single dispersant as an internal control of chemically dispersed o...

risk assessment of the total mercury in golden gray mullet (liza aurata) from caspian sea

mercury is the most toxic heavy metal in the aquatic ecosystems which originates both from natural and industrial resources and is ultimately deposited in sediments as methyl mercury. this metal is quickly transferred through the food chain and accumulated in organisms. in this study, the human health risk due to consumption of mullet ( liza aurata ) in the caspian sea, were evaluated by measur...
